Eléphant Vert (EV) becomes a 100% shareholder of the French group BIO3G with the ambition of taking advantage of the complementarity of the companies to strengthen their respective positions in all markets.
Accelerated growth thanks to the complementarity of the two companies
The benefit of this acquisition is to play on the dual “product and geographical” complementarity of the two groups to accelerate the development of the companies. Agility and the search for performance will remain the key words for each entity in order to amplify this influence.
EV has a solid foothold in Africa through its subsidiaries and has been deploying an ambitious export strategy in other geographies in Europe and the rest of the world for the past 2 years.
Present in 44 countries, the product portfolio includes no less than 80 active registrations and a human capital of about 400 employees.
BIO3G is dedicated to the development of natural solutions with a 100% direct sales and advice approach in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany. It now has 45 products, 6 patents, 3 marketing authorizations and, above all, 450 women and men committed to a project to develop bio-solutions for agroecology and the health of the planet! Its reputation with end customers is recognized. It will thus be one of the spearheads of this commercial ambition.
The project also includes investments in product developments, manufacturing and IT to develop BIO3G’s growth potential for the benefit of the group.
It is in this spirit that the teams of the two companies have been working together for a few months in order to complete this transaction.
I am delighted to write the new chapter of BIO3G together with the teams, and to further develop the group’s potential, particularly through investments and even more innovation.
I am convinced that this closer collaboration will benefit all stakeholders, and first and foremost our dear customers.
Peter Braendle, CEO EV
A common DNA naturally conducive to this acquisition
The two companies have similar convictions and ambitions: to develop sustainable agriculture around the world, to restore soil quality, to improve farmers’ incomes by marketing an original range of biostimulants, among others. Indeed, since 2012, EV has positioned itself as a pioneer in agricultural biosolutions in Africa and around the world. BIO3G, for its part, has been working since 1997 to develop natural solutions for French and European farmers.
They are also found in human and managerial values: proximity, entrepreneurial spirit, dynamism and creativity, as well as in the strategic axis around R&D and integrated production.
This acquisition is a continuation of a collaboration between the two groups that began in 2018 and, is being carried out at the right time for both people and companies.
This transition represents a tremendous opportunity for BIO3G to strengthen its position in the biostimulants market and amplify its positive impact on sustainable agriculture. I am confident that Éléphant Vert will continue to uphold BIO3G’s values and ambitions.
Marc Guillermou, Founder and former director of BIO3G
A new management committee and a strengthened proximity to facilitate this development
A new Managing Director has been recruited to succeed Marc Guillermou.
Pierre-Gilles Gérard took up his position this summer and also joined the EV Executive Committee in order to strengthen synergies.
An agricultural engineer by training, he has been pursuing a successful career since 1993 punctuated by various experiences in management and business creation in the field of agricultural supplies (Eliard-SPCP, Roullier, Véolia Pôle Agriculture).
Beyond his technical skills, his ability to mobilize teams and his taste for project management make him a very appropriate successor to Marc Guillermou.
I am honored to join BIO3G and to continue the work of Marc Guillermou. With the BIO3G teams and the support of the EV Group, with our proximity to farmers and our technical expertise, we will continue to innovate and offer biosolutions that meet the growing needs of sustainable and efficient agriculture.
Pierre-Gilles Gérard, CEO BIO3G
